Kincardine is situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Huron in Bruce County. In 1999, the Town of Kincardine, the Township of Kincardine & the Township of Bruce amalgamated and Kincardine became a municipality. It also includes the smaller communities of Armow, Baie du Dore, Bervie, Glammis, Inverhuron, Millarton, North Bruce, Tiverton and Underwood.
Kincardine may be best known for being home to Bruce Power, however, those who have had the pleasure of a visit (or who live there) will know it best for its warmth and hospitality, its sandy clean beaches (Tiny Tot Beach, Boiler Beach, Station Beach), and it’s world famous sunsets. The town has even been named one of the hottest surfing destinations in the world. Rich in Scottish Cultural Tradition, each Saturday evening during the summer, Queen Street will be found lined with people, out to see the weekly Scottish Pipe Band Parade.
The Harbour is open 24 hours and has become a safe haven for boaters who happen to get stuck on the wild waters of Lake Huron, and no boat has ever been turned away. The marina is so close to downtown that boaters are able to walk Harbour Street, the most historical street in the town, visiting shops and cafes along the way. Residents and visitors alike are invited to listen to the Phantom Piper, pipe down the sun, from atop the lighthouse in the evenings.
There is never a shortage of things to do in Kincardine, whether it is catching a Kincardine Bulldogs’ hockey game (http://ohabulldogs.pointstreaksites.com/view/ohabulldogs), visiting the Seeview Art Gallery (www.seeview.com), or walking the ¾ mile boardwalk. With 2 theatre groups; the Tartan Twirlers; a quilter’s guild; cadets; a community singers group; snooker and billiards, Kincardine has something to offer everyone.
The Davidson Centre is a popular local community centre with a number of amenities, including, a skate park and swimming pool. In addition, Tiverton also has a sports arena. From snowshoeing to birdwatching to kiteboarding, the outdoor activities are endless; only as limited as your own imagination. Make sure to take advantage of the 22 km of multi-use trails (www.kincardinetrails.net), open year-round. 
There are 4 elementary schools and one Secondary School in Kincardine. The doors at Upper Deck Youth Centre, a non-profit centre which offers activities for youth ages 12-18 (www.swoyfc.com), are open daily. 
Kincardine is also home to the Kincardine & District General Hospital, part of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre (http://www.sbghc.on.ca/Locations/Kincardine).
Every ten years, Kincardine holds the Old Boys & Girls Town Reunion (with the next scheduled for Summer 2018), where proud past residents return to catch up with old friends. For four days, the population triples, as Kincardinites come home to celebrate everything Kincardine!
